RE: show us your gliders
Last Sunday I bought a plane called the Condor at a garage sale. I don't know any thing about it except that it is complete. I believe that it is a 3 meter glider. It has aluminum tubes that actuate the spoilers and ailerons. One of the linkage horns on the plane is broken. Can anyone tell me about this plane? I think it is about 35 years old. A copy of the plan would really be helpful. Is it possible to put a brushless outrunner motor on the plane?
Thanks
Lynn

My Nietoperz SDZ glider, Horten III, an old Sig Wonder converted from glow to slope soarer, a Jart and it in a catching net, then a scratch built Hoffman type glider for slope soaring and can be towed (fitted with RC release hook) behind my tow plane.

RE: show us your gliders
This us a 85.75in. wing for a 36.5in fuse. I was told to put spoilers on it but I have no idea how to set up the mechanism. Also, if spoilers were on the wing, they would probaly be right in front of the aelerions, which might make turning uncontrollable right when I need the plane level. Does anyone know if the spoilers were put right in front of the aelerions it would cause problems with turning?

More than likely they would. Best to keep them inboard by at least one bay from the ailerons. I'd make them 2-3 bays wide at most on each side of the wing. (some people get into over-kill on their spoilers) From what I can see in the 2nd picture, the ailerons should be moved towards the tips by 2 bays. The closer they are to the body, the less effective they will be. That would also make room for spoilers to be added.
If you don't want to go to all the work of moving the ailerons, then make your spoilers 3 bays wide starting at the edge of your sheeting. That would be the quickest way to go.
What other controls are you planning on?

Hi Guys
Here are a couple of PSS models that we are using in the UK at present:
The Fw190 and Me109 are GWS foamies and the Spit is a scratchbuilt all balsa model.
I am currently building a P-40, photos coming soon.
