Default Combat Wing Tape

I am new to combat slope wings.

I recently purchased a 'Prairie Dog' which is like a Zagi or any other EPP slope combat wing.

What kind of tape do you use to cover the wings?

I understand that I will need strapping tape for strength. What brand and width do I need? Any cheap sources?

Also, I see that colored tapes are used to cover the final build? Same question. What kind, width, brand, thickness....etc?

Any low cost sources for these?

And finally I see that I will need tape for the hinges. Same questions with this too.

There are no building instructions with the kit. I spoke with Jack the kit manufacturer and he is working on an instruction sheet. It's not a problem as it appears very simple and there are online manuals for Zagis and other similar models that I can follow.

The tape issues are really what I need help with.

Thanks for any help.

There is a special kind of tape used in Drywall construction which is reinforced with filaments. It is transparent and about the same width and thickness of packing tape. Colored tape? Buy at Zagi. com...

Forgot to mention you can also buy the fiber tape at Zagi.

My first Zagi I used the colored packing tape you find in Hobby Shops and on Trick RC website. Worked fine.
I recovered it using Ultracote for a cleaner finish and liked that more.

btw,
if you try ultracote you need to be very careful with the heat applied, you can melt or even warp a wing relatively easy.

I just came across some info on U-line and Fastpack tape.

Have any of you tried these and if you did how did you like it?

My first Zagi came with the Trick RC tapes and I have had very positive results with these, however, the fiber tape is not as good as the 3M one.
