Default what a pain in the......

This new Esky Lama is giving me fits, particularly since my stepson bought 2 little 2 channel copters for $40 and they fly beautifully! The lower rotor on mine stopped spinning but the upper one is fine. It was suggested that it may be a stripped gear but I can't find the problem. Could it be anything else like a signal not getting where it needs to go? Or am I not looking in the right place for the mysterious stripped gear?

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated

sounds like almost same problem as me.  starting to work on mine now.  My lower spins fast and upper slow.  causes chopper spin on the ground and even thing about lifting off.   told I may have reversed motor wires going into new 3 in 1. or stripped gear on bottom.  Checking now in a few minutes to see what i have.  Is your lama the big outdoor lama?

It is the Big Lama. My upper spins but the lower is stationary. Sounds like the reverse of yours. There's no evidence from underneath that either gear is stripped. Could it be inside somewhere?

Just to let you know, got the blades and motors running ok.  got a lot of vibration o  the shaft.  Didn't like the look of it before I got the blades on.  Guess I change the shaft.  Have a use lama I bought on ebay for parts that's really seen the war and I hope the shaft is true.  Got is for parts and I guess it's time to start parting it out.  did you get anywhere with your lama.  If your motor isn't running, try maybe switching motor connector at 3 in 1 and see if motor runs than.  If it doesn't  than I would think it's the motor and they're pretty cheap.
