Hi,
I follow the forum since long time, so I would start flight, but I am afraid to break
the model that I would buy.
Looking for on the web, I found a training device for novice pilots.
It is called “heliwalker” and it is on altervista.
Can it aid me to begin to pilot the helicopter without damage?
What do you think about it?
I would to buy T-Rex 250, what do you think about it?

Don't know what this thing costs, but you can do the same thing with this... http://www.wowhobbies.com/trainingge...s-ultr-55.aspx

Do you have any prior heli experience? From what I hear that T-rex 250 is a tough heli to learn on. The larger the heli the better to learn on and that Trex 250 is small.

real2you is right the little 250 is very quick i have the exi clone i have the exi 450 a blade 400 and a trex 600 i just got the trex and still checking pitch etc but i can tell you there is a big differance between the 250s and 450's all the training gears do is to help you not tip when trying to take off and you can get it light without getting it in the air and travel around but there again after you remove them the extra weight is gone and it flies just a tad different . plain and simple you will wreck it happens to the best of them its best to get a flight sim and practice and maybe have some1 else nearby that has some experience that can make sure the swash etc etc is setup correctly and you need to know how to repair it when you do crash

I thank everybody.
Olefart: I thank you. I seen the training kit thanks the link you posted.
This kit seems simple to mount on helicopter and it's cheap.
Looking for on the web, I found some video where there are Helicopters with these kits mounted. The helicopter is free to take off and can do
every motion. Maybe again, I think the helicopter would be in danger to crash with a wrong command of a beginner as me.
In fact I found several movies where this kit doesn't works very well. Please, Can you look at them ?

Maybe, the Heliwalker device, found on altervista seems to be more safe, in fact in the movie at minute 4:06,
it impacts against a wall but it doen't break itself and saves the model.
What do you think about this issue?

none of the issues u seen in the vids were from the training gears the 1st vid clearly the operator doesnt have good control of his bird probably to heavy on his stick inputs etc the last video dude had something come loose that caused the wreck these pretty much keep you from tipping over when taking off and landing and chewin your mains up in the ground what size bird u got i will poke around the stash i know i have some for 450 size and 250 size i will give u a set u pay postage just have to find the stuff first .

Don't know what the heliwalker cost is, but I agree with what MadMorgan says. You can't beat his offer. Free will definalely save your heli if you keep control of the bird while the gear is attached. Be sure to get it centered under the heli, or it will throw off the center of gravity.

Nice this heliwalker! I had never seen a trainer as well.<div>He appears crash-safe to 100%, because the helicopter is constrained.</div><div>Can not fly, and therefore can not fall.</div><div>But in the meantime can learn while having fun, fearless.</div><div>I would like to know if they sell it, and where.</div><div>

Hi,
I do like this training device, because flying with it doesn't break the
helicopter. I would learn to maintain the stability and I would move the
helicopter without have experience like me. I think the other device it is ok
to learn hoovering ( after the radio is setted to avoid the spinnning etc.) and
only when the pilot has some experience, because it's enough just a one wrong
command that the model go to ground imho.
