Default Newbie advice on new V959

I just received a new V959 by mail, and am trying to practice for the first time. When I turn up the throttle, I notice that the rear left motor has a slight delay and seems to be weak compared to the other 3. The quad copter then "leans" toward that motor and I cannot compensate. So here's the question:

Since this is "new", do I only need to adjust the trim to balance it out, or is this a problem with the motor, in which case I should send it back?

Ok, I truly am a newbie. All I had to do was spin up the rotors first and it works fine. Starting up quickly was not something to do.
