Default Hello and opinions please

Hi everyone, my name is Blair and I'm 57.
I've been using absolute rc simulator on my iPad and a cheap 3 channel for over a month. Been researching and about to go with a BNF v911 pro with 5 200 mah batteries. http://www.banggood.com/WLtoys-V911-...-p-908478.html
a v912 transmitter. http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-WL...r-p-62435.html
and. http://www.banggood.com/WLtoys-V911-...-p-959157.html

all opinions, thoughts and recommendations welcome.
thanks,
blair

Get yourself a Phoenix or Real flight flight simulator and a better radio. The V911 is cheap it would be better for you go with a real flight simulator.

Thanks Solman,
I'm ordering a simulator controller this week. I've downloaded the free versions of Real Flight and Clearview onto my computer. I already have a couple of simulators on my iPad that I'm using till I get the sim controller.
A better heli and tx will come later if I really get.
I see you have some really nice heli's. I'm hoping not to spend as much on this as I have on guitars.
again, thanks for the advice, and I will be using a sim.

How much are you wanting to spend on a setup?

Don't go the cheap route. Spend some more and get the Blade Nano CPX

Spending about 100 to start. V911, spare parts, v912 transmitter, and computer sim controller. CX-10 quad also. Ordered this morning. To afraid of breaking a more expensive copter to start with. After a while if the bug bites, a 6 or 8 channel controller and a Blade nano CPX. I like small for flying indoors to begin with. I have a big area with high vaulted ceilings. Also plan on spending a good amount of sim time before I get the Blade and try a 6 channel. Then if the bug really bites I'll have to sell a couple of guitars to get a big one. Thanks for the input. My nerves just won't handle a better copter to begin with.
