Default Training for a beginner ???

Hi,

I have been very interested in flying RC Helis for ages but have never done anything about it.

I would like to find somewhere that I can go to try & fly before I spend £200 odd on a new heli. I appreciate I could go and buy some simulator software, or just buy a heli and practice, but I have heard that there are some clubs where you can go along and learn to fly them for real.

I live in Elstree, Herts and wondered if you could give any info on clubs where I can do this which are not too far away ? and where I do not have to have my own heli to enter.

Appreciate your response.

Simulators are by far the most efficient and safe way to learn (lerning is quite dangerous), but it is also highly recomended to get help with your set up and initial weeks of flying at a local club. there are a few folks here on RCU who hail from the london area, so you should have littel or no trouble finding someone to help.

helis are a blast. welcome to the greatest of all hobbies!

Go with Realflight G2. Not only is a sim great for learning it can be used ANYTIME. It's a great way to learn flight orientation.
