Default Newbie needs help

Ok, just got a Feda Dragonfly, and thought i was doing quite well.........Until i got over excited, nearly took it through the roof, bounced off a wall, and dumped it on the floor. Checked it over, and the only damage was a broken 'rod' from the skid to the body of the helicopter. No problem you might think, well, it is for me. I've removed the skid, and have a replacement 'rod' to use. However, i can't remove the snapped 'rod' from the body of the helicopter. I've had pliers on it and its starting to split from the attempts i've made. I'm now worried it'll break completely off at the point where it goes into the helicopter, leaving me no way of getting it out. Are these things glued in or what? Do i have to buy a whole new body just to get this thing up in the air again? I know it's probably a dumb question, but i'm really stuck here, and any help or advise would be greatly appreciated, on how these things are attached to the helicopter, and how it should be removed. It looks like it just slots in, but from the trouble i've had, maybe i'm missing something? Thanks for reading, and any help would be much appreciated.

Mine have been glued in, if you can't get it out try some super glue remover.

Steve.
