Default What caused my crash ??

Ive got an old Shuttle Z been flying it for about 4 months no problems. Futaba PCM receiver and all 148 servos.

I was doing some slow circuits the other day when it started pitching forward. At first its was only a little for short peroids like someone was flicking my elevator stick forward. I still had control to level it out so started to bring it down as quick as possible. The problem go worse to the point i was using full stick to bring it level. This resulted in a very heavy landing a bent spindle and broken elevator linkage.

The elevator linkage was broken by the canopy moving back as it hit the floor. Everything else was working fine on the floor. All the fail-safe positions have been programed for level swashplate.

only thing i can think of is fautly elevator servo but it works fine now.

Any ideas

Sorry for the long post. Thanks Aurin

Sounds a lot like you had problems with the elevator servo. Just because it works OK now does not mean that you can trust it.
