Hi all my son has been bought a starter helicopter and I noticed that the tail rotar is a little bit out of line with the body of the helicpoter about 1/4 of an inch to one side would this affect the flight of it very much.Appreciate any info.Dave.

RE: Question on tail rotar
Out of line in which direction? If its tilted up or down looking at the tailshaft from the rear... you should be able to correct it (the offset would affect the heli.)
If its tilted front to rear looking down from above, you are not going to be able to change it...
You should rotate the main rotor backward and watch the tailrotor for wobble. (changing which way its offset as it makes a rotation)) If the tailrotor is wobbling then you have a bent shaft, (a very bad thing.) or a mis-assembled tailrotor. (fixable...and necessary to be fixed.)

RE: Question on tail rotar
Hi thanks for the advice. As you look along the helicopter holding it sraight out in front of you the tail rotar is turned slightly to the right on the stem and not quite in line and it dosent look an easy job to correct. Not sure the make of the helicopter.Cheers Dave.

RE: Question on tail rotar
Its not a problem it will fly like that, It would be nice to know what heli we are talking about. Its easy to fix loosen the boom and or tail rotor ass. and twist it straight then tighten thats it, no big problem.
