gyro & servo
must the rudder servo and gyro be matched? from what I've been reading around the web it seems people are using a different servo for the rudder. Why ?

They don't have to be. Typically tail servos are faster and more precise and depending on the gyro used you may need one of these special servos to take full advantage of the performance of the gyro.
