Hi
I am planning on getting rid of my old Futaba mechanical gyro and getting a new piezo gyro with heading hold.
I have been thinking about getting the CSM SL420 and use it in conjunction with a fast tail servo.I would just like to know if there is anyone who has one of these gyros and what their opinions or views on this gyro are or if I should go for something like the Futaba GY401 or similar.I have a Hirobo Shuttle ZX and I am using a Futaba FF9 radio and currently have Futaba S5101 servos for all the controls.
Thanks

The 401 with a 9524 servo is the best bang for your buck. A lot of people have them, so you can get lots of help setting it up if you need it.

I second the 401 and 9524 servo. Great combination. You cant go wrong with that. Near all of the guys in my club use them so that pretty much says it all.

Hi,
It seems like the Futaba GY401 is the one to get.I will try and get one with a digital servo. It might be more expensive than the CSM gyro but at least everyone reckons they're good.
Thanks for the advice!
