Andrew,
I thought I was the only one in this situation. I have an old Schluter heli I am rebuilding with aWebra 61. The engine was seized and I basically did the exact things you did. The engine started fine and ran as if it never sat for a long period of time.
I am going to just fly it and if it become necessary, buy a new engine later down the road.
But for now, it is running just fine.

I have not tryed to start the engien yet but I have been told that webra engines are good and that it should go. I have got a shulter helistar 61 if the engine is hard to turn around and it giving you problems then take out the glow plug and turn it around put WD40 in until it loosens then try a new glow plug and see if it will start

Webra engines rock. They are great runners. I have been using them for almost 25 years.
To get them unstuck, fill them with glow fuel or marvel mystery oil and slowly work them out. Don't force them. I soak them in marvel myself and it takes a very short time to get them unstuck. Then after it is turning totally free, start them and run them and they will be fine. Don't use any harsh chemicals in them. Just fuel or marvel will do the trick.
