I see you're not the first one to think so
.I went and bought a short glowplug spanner after it really cheesed me off(took like ten minutes to remove the bloody glowplug).But if you don't want to go and but one you can using one of those mini ratchet sets and 8mm socket if it fits in between the head and gyro plate or do what I did.I took an old 8mm socket,drilled a 6mm hole through so I could stick a small screwdriver through the hole and use it to loosen and tighten the glowplug,this is similar to the sparkplug spanners you get with motorbikes.
