Have you watch one of those things fly? I have a DVD with pros. flying them things in a contest. I think 3D is when the will do really neat things wile flying kind of in place. The will appear to just float in the air wile doing flips and stuff. I am not really sure, but I think it's something like that. I know 3D air planes fly almost in place and can hover like a coptor. They will almost stand straight up on the prop.

Ye vallon just wonderin, what that meant! Thnx for the help, u fly choppers? Im gonna get started with them and move up till I get a $2000.00 one might be a while though.

Think that one comes from the aerobatic designations from AMA. They have a name for figure-skating type aerobatics called F3C or something like that. 3D is probably short for F3D a more agressive version of F3C (?), anyway as vallon said already it is the hel;i version to the wild freestyle aerobatics they do as part of aeroplane competitions.
