Default first hover first FF!!!!!!

HOT DAM THESE HELI'S ARE FUN!!!!!
I made my first hover's, landing and first FF today! I'll will say I cheated a bit with a Co-pilot but read on. my first hover was nerve racking... I set up the Co-pilot by the book and used auto trim/100% gain BAD IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the Co-pilot was actually hurting me ,it was trimming to the right and up... I had to hold a good bit of left/down to keep hover and work the stick's in general to keep it stable...I ran out of trim trying to correct it! the good thing is I made at least 15 take-off's and landings in my first 1/2 tank trying to get the dam thing trimmedthen I re-calibrated it still using auto trim... mistake #2!!! same thing it just won't trim the heli right or allow me to trim it right, another 12 or so take-off/landing's later my tank was almost empty...BREAK time! after thinking about it and looking everything over for the 100th time I reset my trims to 0, went with auto trim OFF, calibrated, set the gain at about 50%, fueled and all be damed that Co-pilot does help!!!! after a brief trim of a few clicks I had it hands off for a 3 or 4 count before it drifted a bit, the Co-pilot seemed to auto correct as well... I gave it some right roll let go and it went back to hover HOWEVER the Co-pilot will not keep hover with out my inputs, it may not crash but I'd have to walk with/chase the heli after 4 or 5 secondsAnyway I hovered abit more landed a bit more... low tank MORE FUEL!! THEN I flew a short SLOW circuit... scared the hell out me!!! shaking like a leaf I brought it back around set it down and called it a day so far so good... If I can I'll be back out in the morning to fly it some more after today I'm glad I had G-2... the Co-pilot would have screwed me if I didn't have sim time.

That was absolutely awsome! I can't wait to make it that far, but I am scared just to get it off of the ground. I am still trying to get it off the ground. I am still adjusting needle valve, going to replace my O.S. A3 glow plug with a O.S. #8. What king of glowplug do you have? I am just wondering of mine is not strong enough. I am also ajusting the speed valve thing on the engine. My heli shakes and vibrates too much. That is why I am scared and going to have someone come look at my settings. I think something is not ballanced. Maybe you can tell me what I can do.

Vallon I use an O.S. #8 in my O.S .32... Do have someone look at your heli and test fly it, I did!!! went out with all the stuff needed to fly it last weekend... watched, asked some questions and found someone I felt comfortable with to look over my heli and do the test flight... dam good thing I did. I made several small mistakes that would have cost me the heli had I tried to fly it. Dusty fixed my screw ups and had my heli hovering hands off with minor trim changes, said it flew well... that's how I knew the Co-pilot(installed it after) was giving me trouble until I calibrated WITHOUT auto trim The trim settings went back to within one or two clicks of what Dusty had set for me. So far the Co-pilot has not impressed me... it's still to early to tell for sure though, I've spent LOT'S of time on G-2 and I'd have to say it's dam close, I only tested the Co-pilot once and it did do it's job...other than that it felt as though I was flying it... I never let go of the sticks or felt the Co-pilot was helping me allot... maybe I'm not doing all the work myself HOWEVER the heli "Felt" like the one's in G-2 and it didn't seem fight me at all... Of course I have no experience with the Co-pilot on fixed wing's so I really have nothing to compare too...the one thing I'm still not very comfortable with is the up close flying... it just seem foreign to me to have something setting 10Ft from me in the air... I never was a "down on the deck" rudder drag/tail touch kinda of pilot.
