Default Idle needle question OS, and power loss

I have a raptor 30 v2 with an os 32sx-h. While running the other day in cold weather after about ten minutes the engine could not hold the the rotor rpm any more and i had to put it down or it was going to go down on it's own. Think the engine to be very lean. So i will start over on my needle adjustments. Does anyone know the starting point for the idle needle on the carb. Are possible other answer to what could have caused this power lost problem. Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

Ken

Did the exhaust smoke decrease?

Didn't really notice the smoke, but it was pretty light if any.

Thanks

Sounds like too lean. Open it a half turn or so to be on the safe side and lean it in a few clicks at a time. Weather conditions effect needle settings. Look for good smoke and decent power. Its always better to run on the rich side.

Thanks allot just got done with a little trouble shooting and i think the mixture is good now. I started over at 1 1/2 turns and went from that point. Had it hovering and it was making all kind of mechanic noises and jerking around a little, so i will open her up? Not sure what to look for, but something is wrong.

Thanks again

Ken
