Default honeybee2 range problem

I bought a new hb 2. Range is about 20ft with antenna wraped around landing gear. It is about 40ft with it straight out the side. This is with the antenna all the way up on tx. Connections look good on both antennas. I have read other threads about guys having this same problem but haven't seen any answers. ANY IDEAS

Default RE: honeybee2 range problem

That's strange, you should get a lot more then 40 feet of range. You should get at least 200 feet no problem at all. You probably would never fly your micro heli that fare away, but you still should have the range. Personally, I would say there is something wrong with the receiver or radio. Maybe you could try a Dean's antenna, it mite help.
