Bent Flybar on JR CP30
All,
After flying last weekend i now have a small downward bend in my flybar shaft. Its only on one side, and not very severe, but its noticable when checking the pitch of my blades. I have a second flybar shaft that I attempted to install. The origional was held in place by 2 set screws. I removed these set screws but was unable to remove the flybar shaft? This sucka was in tight!.
How will this effect my flying? Is this something to worry about? Can i fly like this or should I just find out how to replace this bar? If anyone had replaced the flybar on a JR Venture CP30 before, I would like some advice !!!
TIA

drumgod ... If you don't like the looks replace it, but I have seen people rebend (looks like a snake) both sides, recheck the pattle alignment, a new set of blades, and in the air again. Their was little or no effect in performance in training or forward flight, however, I wouldn't recommend cutting grass. Larry

The best way to remove a bent fly-bar is to use a dremel and cut it off. If you have a bent fly-bar, chances are you have a bent spindle, you better check that. If your spindle is bent, you have to change it, it can cause all kinds of problems. The best way to check it is, take it out and roll it on a flat table or on a peace of glass.
