Im lookin at a JR venture helicopter in .30 size that is a ARF. its got every thing but a TX and a rx crystal. I was thinking of buying it but I wonder about the quality of the heli. is it as good as the thunder tiger raptor .30 v2? for a beginner is it ok for a newbie?

RE: JR line of helicopters, any good??
I had a tracking problem with the stock head on my Venture 30CP... the tracking would go in and out... I'd adjust it dead-on, and a few flights later it would go out. I upgraded the spindle and blade grips, and installed thrust bearings, and all is well after $50 worth of parts!
My Raptor 50V2 has required zero upgrades to fly extremely well. I never had to adjust tracking on it either! I just matched the ball link lengths for both sides, and the tracking has been dead on!
Whatever you get, make sure it has thrust bearings in the head... the 50V2 does, I'm not sure if the 30V2 does or not... they may be in the 49bb version of the kit...
