New nitro helicopter have a few questions VentureCP
I only have experience with Electric helicopters and im getting a nitro venture cp. i need to know exactly what i will need that is required to fly it that is not included with the heli. Such as starting equipment what do i need? I have absolutely NO experience with gas or nitro. Also do they make gas powered venture CP's because its least expensive. My skill is low and i woln't be flying upside down anytime soon. Thanks

I'm pretty sure this question was already answered?
You need a 12 volt battery, a 12 volt starter, a hex starter shaft, a glow igniter and fuel, you should have some kind of fuel pump to put fuel in the heli and you should have a pitch gauge to set your pitch when your setting the heli up.
There is no gas helis in the Venture line up, only nitro.
You could just buy this and your ready to go, it's a field box sold by Thunder Tiger, you should be able to get it at almost any hobby shop.

Remember that your radio has to support CCPM mixing. Without that option your Venture will sit on the ground. Btw what radio are you gonna use and do you know someone who can help you set it up ?

I don't think you can use that radio???? what are you going to do, get a different receiver? You can't use the receiver that is in your Blade CP, that is a micro receiver, the servos that go in the Venture won't plug into it (the plugs are to big).
You should explain exactly what you are going to do when you get your Venture. What equipment are you planing to use? What radio, what receiver, what gyro, what servos, what battery? Maybe we can help you a little more if we know exactly what you are doing.

I doubt the blade TX will work. I'm not familiar with your particular helicopter, but even if it has a 90 degree swash (that's what the blade uses doesn't it?) the tail to rotor mixing will probably be totally off aswell as the pitch and throttle curves. I'm afraid you'll need a proper computer transmitter if you want to use that helicopter.

chickenx5. Dont get me wrong. I am not an expert in this hobby and I am not trying to be a smart ***** BUT ! In my opinion you cannot "hope" thats something is gonna work. You have to know exactly what it is that you need to get that heli flying ... and most importantly how to set it up. You wont be able to pull that venture out of the box and go to the field. What you will need to do is to set it up (I bet you know that already BUT ) its not gonna be the same as the Blade CP.
Having said that .. a venture was my first heli and I got it in the air w/out accidents but .. I also did a lot of research. Even a simple task as starting an engine can be a bit scary if you've never started a heli before. Maybe its a good idea to take a step back and spend some more time on 'theory' before actually attempting flying. It will cost you less aggrivation and money .. if for some reason a component is not set up right.
Anyways.. thats my 2 cents.

Where do you live in Washington?
Edit: Nevermind, just checked your profile. Was hoping you were closer but Brush Prairie is quite a drive.
Anyone have a link to that "Pilot Locator" site?

For the love of all thats good in the world, get someone that knows what they are doing to either help you out or check over that thing before you try to fly it. Even if it takes a couple hour drive it will be returned many times over in safety, crashes and general aggrivation.
Proper setup is the hardest part, harder than building or flying IMO, once that is done right your in pretty good shape.
