Which 60 Heli for beginner?
Hello,
I fly airplanes for 2 years and now I would like to start flying helicopters. I am looking for a 60 machine. I was thinking about:
- Hirobo Freya or
- Raptor 60 v2
Which one of these helis do you recommend?
Thanks,
Lkahn

If you are dead set on a 60, then the raptor. It will be more expensive to buy/mintain then a 50, with less comparative power but lots more presence. The Freya will bankrupt you.

You can get a Raptor(A Pinto) or a Freya(A Lexus)and the Freya will not bankrupt you I have one and love it and would never consider a Raptor now if anything I would buy a Sceadu Evolution .50 Size,Hirobo makes great heli's and I have looked at many raptors and they look cheap next to the Hirobo.Do not let anyone make up your mind for you research it and get the one that you like not what someone else says after all you have to pay for it and fly it and most of all like it!!!!

I'd call a Raptor more of a buick than a pinto.
They are great helicopters for what they are, a mid level plastic helicopter. They are easy to build and maintain and the parts are cheap and plentiful.
Evo 50's are nice, I've been considering one for some time (haven't mentioned it to the wife yet though)

The guys saying that the Freya will bankrupt you must be on something, because the standard Freya has a price that is very comparable to the Raptor 60. Sure there is the more expensive X-Spec with a metal head and some carbon bling, but it is in a different class than the standard Freya and Raptor 60. After buying a Hirobo Sceadu Evo 50, I sold my Raptor 60 and got a Freya X-Spec. The Hirobos are better machines in terms of flight performance and parts quality.

Maybe I was a little over zealous but the Freya is great, the raptor is a good heli but I just really like the durability of my Freya and how strong it really is I have never had or flown a raptor but would give it a try someday after I get my EVO 50 just a little crazy, don't mind me and did not mean to put down raptor owners SORRY!!!![&o]
