This was the first flight of my new Venture and also my first flight of an r/c heli. I bought the heli with engine and radio and giro 4 days ago from Heliproz. I had no trouble assembing the heli or the engine and linkages, which I had assumed would be a real challenge as I have not delt with heli assembly. I ran into one programing issue with the JR 622 radio but after a little playing around I got it solved.
after checing over I cliped on the roto-pod training gear and took the heli to the back yard, the motor fired up just fine (os 32 heli) it seemed to run great on 15%. It was now time to try her out. Understand that never flying a heli, exept on the real flight simulator I fully accepted the fact that I would have a major mishap. I throttled up a little and it got light on its feet. At that point Ibecame quite a bit nervous, however I decided to continue as a heli on the mantle is no good to me. I gave it a little more throttle and it started to lift a little sideways so I set it down and reset the aileron trim, then fired it up gave it throttle. When it came up this time it was straight, alittle more thottle I was about 5 feet up and as stable as could be. from there on it was a breeze to fly, although just flying aroud in circles and working on my hover the heli was unbeleivably stable and easy to fly, I still can't beleive how nice this flew. I went through 4 tanks before my wife found more important things for me to do.
For any off you who want a great entry heli, and are on this site doing what I did, look no further I followed advise from this site and bought the Venture and the rest is now history I as a first time heli pilot would recomend this set up to anyone also the people at heliproz where unmatched in there help and support
