Wakera 36 blade clutch problem??
Greetings all,
I got a wakera 36 heli for christmas and I was preparing to try to fly it monday so I got batts for the TX and charged both the li-poly and li-ion batts that came with the heli and I have a couple of problems #1 I dont think that the li-poly charger is working properly when I plug the batt into the charger the led is green when I plug the charger into the wall the led goes red for about 20 minutes then turns green again I am assuming that the charge cycle is complete but the batt never gets warm at all and it doesent have much capacity so i think that I have a bad charger I have already read that there chargers are crap so if I am right please advise.
#2 I did manage to get the li-ion battery charged without burning down my house my charger got very hot and tha batt got very warm but not too hot. I ran the heli clamped to a bench twice with out incident and it seemed to work fine both times letting the heli and batterys cool down before repeating the 3rd time the heli spun up fine but after 30 seconds the blades slowed down but the motor speed stayed the same and i could hear a whine i think the auto-rotation clutch is failing the heli blades will no longer spin very fast at all even though the motor is going great guns please help

RE: Wakera 36 blade clutch problem??
Can't help you with the second question, but as to the first one. Lithium batteries should not even get warm during a charge. If they're getting warm, they're being charged too quickly, or they're being overcharged. I'd STRONGLY suggest you get a proper charger before you either injure your self, or cause serious property damage. Those wall chargers are absolute garbage, and are a friggin' liability!
