I just got my brand new blade cp in the mail today, i took it out the box ran through all the instructions and control tests. I plugged the main and tail rotor back in, and reattached the battery. As soon as they connected the tail rotor started spinning really fast. this is before the the gyro even had time to stabilize, it started the very second I connected the battery. All the servos reverser's are in the proper settings, the idle up switch is set to normal, and the throttle trim is all the way down.
Any help would be appreciated, I really don't want to have to send it back and wait a few more weeks before i get to try it.

Did ya try adjusting the gain? (less) Does it spin more one way than the other, when you move the tail back and forth? What happens when you move the trim lever up? Might also try the tail compensating dial. Next to the gain. Just remember where it was. Good Luck

Adjusting the trim, gain, and tail compensation dial doesn't seem to have any effect. The tail rotor starts spinning as soon as I connect the batters and the 4-in-1 receiver. The led on the receiver just blinks red at me while the tail rotor spins away full throttle. It also does not seem to be accepting any signal from the remote while doing this either. If I unplug the tail motor all other components work properly. I'm afraid the 4-in-1 receiver might be damaged, E-Flite claims to test them all first so you think they would have caught that if it was the case.

Well, you say you put the throttle TRIM all the way down, try putting the throttle itself all the way down. That may explain the red blinking too.

I have the throtle down too. I called support for the product and they seem to think the reciever is damaged as well. Not sure how really, but it looks like im sending it back. Thanks for you help though.

, but you never mentioned that, so I thought I might suggest it. Dumb stuff like that does happen.
