That looks very neat!
How did you secure it at the top?
Did you drill a hole?

header looks nice. a few suggestions or comments where is the fuel filter?? the ground wire for the glow plug extension could be shortened and attached to the bolt just above it (gets rid of dangling wire. foam wrap the rx .The yellow wire i assume is for the gyro its a power wire next to the antenna??

Just trying to help

ps if your into a header tank maybe time to get rid of the training gear.

Here's mine:

Couple of things I noted about your set up ...

1) Secure the gyro wire away from the spinning stuff ... main gear, belt gear.

2) I don't like the 3 port setup on header tanks. [Unless you got two clunks in the tank] You will have to put your heli on its nose to de-tank your system. Filling is OK ... Flying is OK ... De-tanking is a hassle. This is why its common to find a t-fitting between the header and the carb. It can easily be de-tanked via the fill line because the fill line has a clunk in the header tank. And it's also common to have a t-fitting that also has a filter in it.

I have to agree. I use a T also and it took 4 different ones until I found one that works.

You got a really nice clean setup there Tippy.

Very astute of you young skyadder ...
Yes ... I do have a tail boom mounted t/r servo. So the next question would be "what's with the original t/r servo linkage then?"

I use the front half of the original t/r servo linkage as my battery switch control. I took a MPI switch and installed a ball link into the switch lever. I built a little plywood filler panel to mount into the original t/r servo bay and installed the switch into the plywood. I then used the front linkage half and just mounted it to the switch. I left the linkage coupler on so I would have something to grab hold of.

So my on/off switch is the coupler. Kind of easier to reach without having to pull the canopy or stick your finger through that little hole in the canopy. Here's some photos in case you're confused.

Forward end of linkage:

It's usually a smaller (relative to the main tank) tank that's installed to reduce the chance of air bubbles making it to the carb (a bubble trap) and also helps stabilize the fuel flow/pressure to the carb. (Successful) heli flight relies on a very stable and consistant fuel flow. Flying around nice and easy may not require this to some extent but some of the high energy (G) manuevers a heli can perform can throw the clunk momentarily out of the fuel causing a hick-up in the engines performance. The header is designed to catch and trap these momentary bubbles and not pass them along to the carb.

Plus it adds a few more ounces (of fuel) to your fuel capacity.

Here's a repeat of mine (with text added):

We here in the Uk do not have the luxury of Hobbico or Tower.
I searched all the Uk sites trying to ID it but could not find anything like it. Found current/volt monitors.
