MX400 Pro motor polarity?
I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I also don't want to screw anything up.
I just purchased a HeliMax MX400 Pro that comes with a Helimax 6 pole brushless motor and a HeliMax 25A ESC. On my ESC, there is a red wire, black wire and blue wire. On the motor, there is a red wire, white wire, and blue wire. I am assuming the red goes to red, blue goes to blue, and black goes to white. Can anyone help me with this? I just got all my connectors soldered, and I don't want to mess anything up with this heli. It is my first step away from the Blade CP.

RE: MX400 Pro motor polarity?
you never know with these brushless motors. those colors are almost meaningless
here are some options:
1) tape the wires together and test run the motor so that it spins counterclockwise (so that the mainblades spin clockwise)
2) ask someone who has the EXACT same motor and ESC
3) if the ESC has electronic reversability just solder it up and get it going the right way via the programming/esc setup mode
4) solder on connectors so that it can be switched

RE: MX400 Pro motor polarity?
The wiring polarity goes like this:
Note: From motor (Red,Blue and White wires) to Speed controller (Black, Red and Blue wires)
White to Black
Red to Blue
Blue to Red
This wiring should work on the Helimax 6 poles motor to Helimax brushless motor 6-10C 25A ESC
Hope this resolve your motor polarity question.
Happy flying......
