Beginner Equipment Choices
I'm very close to buying a new Raptor 30 kit on the advice of my local gurus and what I've been reading, but wanted to know if the gear I salvaged from the wreckage of a Nexus 30 is worth keeping.
I have:
Futaba FP-T6VH Skysport 6H Transmitter
Futaba FP-R127DF 7-Channel Receiver
Three S-148 servos
Two S-3003 servos
Hobbico HCAM4000 Piezo Gyro
OS .32 Max SX
I know there are newer and better setups out there, but will this get me in the air or be more trouble than it's worth?
Thanks,
Mark

That radio is barely a helicopter radio, consider a 7C or something similar. The agrivation will be many times less making the money you spent well worth it.
The 32 engine will fly it ok, the os 37 will fly it better.
If you get a 7C you will get some decent servos. I also highly reccomend the gy401 w/ a 9254 servo combo for the tail.
