Hey all, im new to this community (rc helis and rcuniverse). I just recently became interested in rc helis, making my first purchase a 45 dollar heli that i didnt even read into... ended up being a 2ch which is not fun to fly... well i finally broke it, but atleast i learned fromt hat little 2ch taht i would like to try better things with rc helis.
now im looking for a pretty decent 4ch heli. i was looking at the walkera 4ch heli for about 100 dollars, i think its the dragonfly 4. can anyone give me some advice on this?
basically im looking for a 4 channel, fixed pitch. i would like something that is pretty reliable, durable, and easy enough to find parts for. I would still like to keep the heli within the 99-129 dollar range, as im not sure how long this interest will last (im more of a nitro truck guy).
thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.
oh btw i read somewhere that the walkera came with a cable for pc flight sims, is this true? that was kind of an added bonus for me.

if I were you, I could seriously consider spending the extra money and getting a 6 channel collective pitch helicopter. They are MUCH easier to fly than a fixed pitch micro heli.
One to consider would be the Blade CP.

The Blade CP is the way to go in my opinion. It was my first heli and I am without a doubt a loyal customer for E-Flite. The parts are cheap for repairing the beast if you crash. I had to buy a main chassis, landing gear and tail boom and it cost me a whooping $26 bucks. For $220 ready to go, I don't think you can go wrong. I also bought a Walkera 35 off ebay for 100 bucks and the thing has sat on my shelf and collected dust!! It is just poorly designed and too much work to get flying. You pretty much have to upgrade a bunch of stuff to get it flying and you will spend more than $220 to do it!!
Blade CP is the way to go. Don't waste your money like I did. Invest it in the right product from the get go and you will be better off in the long run!!

I too got the Blade CP as a first heli. And to tell the truth, I love every min that I use it. I finally was able to get it into the air thanks to bdavison and his assembly thread. I had to do some adjustments on her.. and now I am actually learning something. Like John, I too am a true E-Flite customer. You can't go worng with the price to the availability of the parts. I would recommend that you look at getting a set of plastic main blades as you will crash and woodies get expensive over the long run. I am on my 5th set already.
Take care and good flying.
