Li-Po batteries for FP Honey Bee
I have seen several posts on this subject but am having a hard time gleaning the specifics. I have a FP Honey Bee with the stock Ni-MH 8.4 volt, 650 MaH battery. I would like to go to a Li-Po battery for longer flight times. I was thinking of using a 2S 1200-1250 MaH pack. Is there enough voltage at 7.4 volts to run this machine? What about using a 3S Li-Po packs? Can the stock electronics handle the 11.1 volts? I know that the motors will have a shorter life with the higher voltage but I am worried about the 3-in-1 module. I don't want to use a 3S pack if the 2S will be sufficient.

I have an FP also, I'm running 11.1 v 3S lipos, I changed the pinion gear from a 10 to a 9 tooth. Its been running great for months now. Did upgrade to a DD tail though.
