Default Heli Engine Probs

I have just traded for my first nitro heil, a Century Hawk Sport, and I was hovering it around the back yard and it does ok for a minute, and then the engine and rotor slows and sinks back to earth. Do I need to tune the engine better? How do you suggest I go about that? or Do I need to take some pitch out of the rotor and let it spool up faster with the higher RPM?

it sounds like it was too lean .was there lots of smoke or not ? was the engine too hot hold your finger on back plate for as least 5 seconds without burning it.

No, like Skyad said, your running to lean, the motor is getting to hot an losing power. What motor are you using?

Maybe, it was doing ok until it got warm and then started to fall off. I am using an OS 32. I will fire it up this weekend and try it out.

http://www.raptortechnique.com read his section on engine tuning, its universal.

Do that too many times to that engine and you will cook it.
