i just got a futaba t6 exh heli radio and i was just thinking are the futaba s3004 servos ok to be yousd in my raptor50 just for hovering around the yard?[:-]

I'm affraid I'm new to heli's and don't know much about all this stuff, but I am using Futaba 3001 Servo's on my raptor 50 and they work fine, so I'm guessing the 3004's should be no problem! Higher number means their stronger? Hehehe, not sure but I would have thought they would be ok.

They will work fine for learning to fly, but once you advance with your flying I would upgrade to a better servo.

OK but can i youse the futaba s3004 servo in the tail rotor control i herd that u have to have a really fast servo for that...lets still remember that im just hovering around the yard and still lerning to fly my rappy I will get good digital servos when i can fly my ship a bit better

You can use it, but it's way to slow for the tail, it's only .23sec. You really should get the right servo for the 401 gyro (Futaba 9254), the 9254 is .06sec, that's a big difference. You will probably fine the 3004 won't hold the tail very well.

If you do use the 3004 on the tail, make sure your gyro is not in DS mode, DS mode is for digital servos.

Gy401 is $120

GY401 with 9254 is 185, the servo alone sells for 85 dollars. Do yourself a favor and just get the combo.

I have standard servos on one of my old shuttles and it works ok but when you start getting in to fff and 3d you will need a faster servo
