Default RE: Tail rotor, How does it work?

OK, so I got the nose to go right with a right stick and I've found its easier to watch the nose, NOT the tail. It was the first 'ON' switch on the back of Tx. Now I have another problem...I've been trying to just hold the heli in one place like suggested by RADD. With 0 input it will stay straight, but when it get light on the skids I need to give rudder input and cyclic. When it starts to slide left I give full right cyclic and that doesn't help. When It was sliding left I gave some left cyclic and it almost fell over. My paddles are flat and they are spinning flat too. When I get eye level with the blades I can see everything looks pretty flat. When i give the right input I can see the paddles angle down to the right but the heli doesn't seem to respond. Could the ground effect be the problem or is it something else. Thanks allot, you guys are allot of help.
