OK, I guess I stumped everyone with my last Walkera 22e nightmare-now the receiver is not responding-blinks continuously-is there a way to check if it is defective-how can I tell if its the trnasmitter or receiver? Crystals are intact, I haven't even gotten it off the ground since my first crash, controls were responding perfectly until now otherwise. I've been trying to test the transmitter with FMS-it works with a parallel cable in windows 98, so I assume the receiver went belly up-but this copter is two weeks old! All wires and connectors seem fine-antennas have not changed position. I only use the stock nimh copter batteries which are fully charged, same as transmitter batteries. Is this typical for a Walkera? And if it is, what is a better receiver for this bird? Thanks again for anyone who can help.

I'm posting my own reply, since nobody else did. The receiver did go bad, replacing it solved my problem. I guess these are not real sturdy. I've been researching a better replacement-if anyone has experience with a better receiver as a replacement, let me know. I've read that Hi-tech as a replacement can work. Thanks.
