I bought a blade cx that was said to have a bad 4-in-1 but that everything else was ok, I figured i replace the 4-1n-1 done, well now I have a problem of charging the battery, When I plug the battery into the lipo/balancer that came with it all it does is blink red which indicates that its getting power to it but there is no battery there....
I talked to e flite and they said it sounds like the balancer/charger is bad, I talked to the hobby shop they said the battery is bad?.... I was told that even if the battery was bad I should still get a charge light when something was connected, and then I was told if the battery is bad the charger is not gong to register its there...
can someone please help me eleviate my confusion... is the charger bad/ or battery bad? or both????... I dont have any other way of testing or hooking up other batteries to test it

I'd say it's 90% sure that the battery is bad. I just got one from a friend that had a fried 4-in-1 and his battery was to heavily discharged to take a charge. I tried to hit it with my align balance charger and it swelled. It is now in my back-yard (in quarenteen). I picked up a new battery and replaced the FET package in the CX and it's all good now. Most likey the former owner left the LiPo connected too long and killed it. The chargers are dead simple, there is not much to go wrong there.

You are going to want a spare battery anyway, so I would buy the battery first. If it doesnt do the trick then you know you need a charger, and you have a spare batt.[sm=thumbup.gif]

well I took it over to a buddy's house and found out the battery was bad and the charger was fine... I am gonna try to see if I can get the place I bought it from to give me another battery because they said all that was bad was the 4-in-1 but I doubt it... any one know where I can get that battery at for less than 27.00 that things expensive..
