Default Lama V3 Help needed

I was hovering my LAMA V3 and all of a sudden had violent vibration start and then a crash. Broke 2 blades and also the stabilizer came off and I don't know how it goes together. I have replacement parts ordered but here is my problem - the manual is so bad that I really don't know how things go back together. I would appreciate if someone could email me high resolution digital photos of the upper part of the rotor - should have done this before the first flight. Any help is appreciated. I have been flying fixed wing for 19 years and these helos are a new challenge.

Before this afternoon, I could have easily helped you out. Now I am missing my stabilizer bar. It disappeared about the time of the crash. I'm no sure if it disappeared before the crash or during the crash. I have ordered parts 3 days UPS Select and if Nitroplanes will actually ship them, once I have them and install them, I will email you a picture. Sounds like you and I had the same problem. I think my stabilizer bar took off on its own and caused the helicopter to immediately crash. You did not state if the upper part of the shaft was damaged. Mine was not, other than losing one of the bumps on the blade holders that connects the stabilizer bar to the blades. If your shaft is not damaged, there are two opposed bumps on the center section of the stabilizer bar that fit into the holes in the U-shaped plastic bracket on the uppermost part of the shaft. The linkage or link arm from the stabilizer bar fits on one of the bumps on the blade holders. It must be adjusted so that when the stabilizer bar is level, the blades are also level The stabilizer bar just pops into place in the U-shaped bracket, which means it can also pop out of place. I wish it had a screw above it like the Blade CX2, which would prevent it from popping out except in the most disastrous of circumstances. I am trying to think of a way to prevent the U-shaped bracket sides from spreading open, allowing the stabilizer bar to fly off. Do you have any ideas?

Ted,

The LAMA is really straight forward to disassemble and put back together. I posted a quickly written guide on doing this in another forum a few days ago. Rather than recreate the post here, I'll just give you a link. The forums are public access and I don't think you'll need to register to get access.

You should probably also take a look at the this post for some high res pictures and more tips:

Please bear in mind that I'm completely new to the world of RC so the terminology (and possibly everything else) might not be 100%
