I know that real flight is the big one.. but has anyone used any other programs.. The real flight is expensive, but I'm sure worth every penny.
has anyone tried the esky set up

Yes, I bought that one out of frustration when I couldn't get my BCX transmitter to work with FMS and SmartPropoPlus.
The USB controller that came with it is virtually identical to my RC TX.
I don't really care that much for FMS but it is probably way better than nothing.
I downloaded a demo of Clearview and liked it enough to purchase it.
Way better than FMS in my opinion and it works with the USB ESky controller.
I made my decision after reading this comparision http://www.swashplate.co.uk/ehbg-v17/ch08.html
I think that 7/10 for 30 dollars makes it about the best choice.
You may want to consider buying this from an online store, e.g. http://www.helidirect.com/product_in...roducts_id=890 , rather than EBay as it might be cheaper and quicker to receive. EDIT: I just realized this one is RS232 not USB, sorry.
I bought mine on Ebay and paid about 10 bucks too much (my fault) and it took forever to arrive.
Good luck.

I got this one. http://pc.gamezone.com/gamesell/p20102.htm It seems pretty cool, it's all these indoor missions to do. All with helicopters, I am using it on my Esky controller too. PM me if you want the link.
