Just setup my new Raptor 50 on a Futuba 9CAP. I think everything is in order, however I am not sure that I have the idle-ups turned off. I am a beginner and want normal mode only. The Futaba 9C manual is about as organized as everything else Futuba puts out.
Any help will be appreciated. I'd hate to fire it up in 3D mode for the first hover attempt.

Thanks Brian, I've been there a lot. Haven't got it clear yet, but I'll keep looking. Used Prewitts setup instead of the Raptor directions, but I compared.
I'm all set except for being sure the idle-ups are disabled.
Thanks

Go into programming mode and press MODE again so you are in the advanced screen.
Go to THR-CURVE
Cursor up to NORM and turn the wheel to Idle1, Idle2 and Idle3 and ensure they all say MIX>INH
Exit the throttle curve menu and go down to REVO. MIX and ensure thats INH in all modes if you are using a heading hold radio.
Scroll over to HOV-THR and HOV-PIT and make sure they are set to INH as well.
If you have a 9C Super REVO will already be inhibited but you will need to go into the High/Low pitch menu and set it to MAN and NULL in all modes.

Thanks a lot Barracuda, that was easy. I was looking for it under pitch curve. I had the revo correctly set, but I'm glad to get those trim knobs turned off also.
I think I am ready to go now, pending weather. It's 9 AM here and 17 degrees.

No problem. Just remember you always have to activate a pitch curve in the throttle curve menu first. Also if you have I1 and I2 disabled then flipping the switch by accident wont do anything.
Dont forget to set up your throttle hold for a reliable idle, if something goes wrong try to flip the switch before you hit, less energy in the blades will do less damage and keep you from doing the chicken dance where it beats itself to death on the ground.
