I have been practicing with my new Heli-Max AXE EZ for a few days now, basically just hovering indoors. Today I took it outside in a big field where I figured I couldn't get into much trouble. I took it up about 50-80 feet & a few seconds later it went almost straight down & crashed. I'm still puzzled what I could of done. Could someone suggest some possibilities so I don't do it again? I don't believe I cut the power on the collective stick. The Heli was badly damaged but all the electronics seem ok. I just ordered nearly everything else so I can get it back in the air. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW there was little or no wind.
Thanks,
Mike T.

Hi Mike,
Did the heli quit?
Or was it a case of loss of orientation?
I know that the first time I flew up, and it was only 30 or 40 feet, I found that I could no longer tell what the heli was doing. It resulted in a death dive that broke the frame of my heli. I simply was not used to viewing the bottom of the rotor, so I lost all of my visual cues about what the heli was doing. I don't fly anywhere close to overhead now.

Vince, I think it may be just what you said. The Heli was overhead & I must of lost my orientation. From now on I will keep it in front of me.
Thanks,
Mike
