Default PLEASE HELP PLEASE!!!!

I have a small Humming bird heli.
All servos and receiver are HiTEC
PROBLEM.
The color of the wires on the ESC are red, orange and brown.
I'm using an E-SKY gyro.
Everything works but the tail servo that is new.
I plugged it into the gyro then the other 3 wires coming out of the gyro go to the receiver.
Now here is the brain basher.
When I plug the ESC into the receiver the ESC beeps.
but the gyro light does not come on.
If I unplug the ESC and turn it around and reverse it the GYRO light comes on,blinks fast like it should but then when the servos take a set I have nothing
I have throttle, forward, back, left, right, pitch control and it wants to fly but no tail rotor function.
I need help.
Any suggestions?
And yes throttle is in CH # 3

Hitec rec. is Bl towards's end of rec. then red, then signal, which could be orange yellow or white.
Use a spare power supply ( 4.8 volt) and not the esc to check that all your servo's are working corectly.
Then, try your esc, which should be black then red then signal. try the new servo on another channel to see if it is working.
If this is a module receiver (rec, esc combo) none of this applies ![8D]

Thanks for responding.
I have already checked the servo with 4 volts from a power sipply I can adjust.
It's working fine.
The wires on the ESC are orange, red and brown. If I reverse the plug on the ESC then the gyro will flash the red light very rapid.
Then it stops and will blink appx 1 blink per second
The ESC is the Century Electron 18/25.
I guess i'll be up all night changing plugs in the RX.
Sooner or later I have to hit the right combination.
Then if that fails I have the reverse switches on the TX.
Thanks very much for responding

I got it working but have 1 little problem.
I can fly the little bird but at full throttle the blades lose pitch.
I can't go past appx 75 to 80%.
Also the knobs on the TX that I use to give more pitch now work reverse.
I guess the receiver has 1 plug in the wrong slot?

Do you have reversing switches on the transmitter. Is it a ccpm mix?. See you other post about the pitch.

Hi Jim,
The tail rotor and all other controls are fine.
It's when I throtle up close to full bore the servo pulls the blade pitch down.
I pulled the plug out of CH 2 and put it in CH 4 and that got my tail servo working.
Now the knobs on the TX work backward.
I tried the reversing switch but so far no luck
