Default SECOND ESC...DAMAGED!

DAMN IM MAD, THIS HELI IS JUST TAKING ME TO THE POINT OF THROWING IT OFF A BRIDGE!!! I JUST TURNNED IT ON TO FLY (NEW ESC & MOTOR), STARTED PICKING UP HEAD SPEED AND WHAT HAPPENS, I START SELLING SOMETHING BURNING. WHAT IS IT, THE NEW ESC AND MOTOR NOW IM THINKING OF SMASHING THE DAMN HELI. I NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS. IM NEW TO THE " WORLD OF HELIS" BUT I'VE BEEN RUNNING RC CARS FOR MANY YEARS AND NEVER HAD PROBLEMS LIKE THIS BEFORE. THIS IS THE SECOND (COPTER X)ESC NOW CAUSE THE FIRST ONE (E-SKY) ALSO CRAPPED OUT. MAYBE IT CAN BE THE RX CAUSING THIS? DONT KNOW...HELP...[:@]

just saw your post...sorry about your problem...how much current is the motor drawing and is the ESC rated high enough to handle the current draw? That looks like the same blue motor and ESC I am running in my Falcon 3D. I got it on Ebay from Hong Kong and have had no probs with mine. I dont think it could be the receiver. If you were running too much voltage your ESC could burn up if the input LIPO battery voltage was too high or if the motor was shorted, it would short circuit the output voltage from the ESC and result in smoke. Sorry I am probably not much help. Someone else will hopefully say more. Dont throw your heli away. This is very frustrating and I would feel the same.

Those 3 motor wires look very closely bundled and be sure they are not shorted together or any connections touching the motor casing. I know this is highly unlikely but these 3 wires should be not touching each other or anything else. If they were to short together any 2 or any 1 short to the motor casing, you would have a problem.

Ah good eye. They might indeed be shorting out.

Also, i like the way you have your battery mounted, i think i will change mine over to that

i was using the stock battery from e-sky it's a 3s 1800mah 20c. the esc is a 30a and should'nt have a problem handling the pack. the wire's are close but no metal 2 metal touching going on so, i dont think it's that. the reason i said it can be the rx is because the first esc also started going out like suddenly turning on to full speed when stick was low, slowing down when it shouldn't just crazy stuff. then i started thinking, maybe i should accept this and call it "the ghost-flyer" and everything would be ok. but nooope, i had to get another esc and this one is now toasted. i have another rx (fs8) but im still waiting for the crystal to come in so i guess im just gonna wait and see.
