Default Beginner setup?

Hello. I just got a Helimax Axe CP. Im having a very hard time getting it to take off and hover steady. Could someone please provide some tips on how to check for proper setup of a beginner heli such as this for correct trim. Any websites, tutorials or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

[link=http://www.dream-models.com/eco/flying-index.html]Radd's School of Rotary Flight[/link] is a good exercise set that reduces risk of damage while you learn.
A sim is a big bonus. If you don't have one, go to your local hobby shop and try theirs.

The HeliMax CP is not an easy one to concur, I share your problems as a lot of us that own them do. Check out this thread, there is a lot of interesting information that will help.
