I was wondering if anyone could help me? I just got the E sky Flight Sim package, and when I downloaded the software, I got an error message reading "Exception EComPort in module FMS.exe at 0008B728. Registry error (win error code: 2). Any chance someone knows what this means, and whether or not I can do something to get this to work on my PC? My operating system is Windows XP. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times, to no avail. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Download this one, it's a much better sim and will run on Vista and will work with the 4 channel tx that came with the Esky sim.

I'm not sure what everyone else is doing, But I have no problems running FMS on Vista....
I went to the FMS website and researched the Forum till I found what I needed... Went to Microsoft and downloaded the DLL file...
Installed the DLL file BEFORE installing FMS... rebooted the comp... installed FMS.... NO problems... No error messges... all is running Fine...
so, FMS WILL run on Vista...

Like UH60Mech said download the update patch that works with vista from there website. A lot of people are downing vista but they fail to realize that xp was the exact same way when it came out. Download that patch and you will be fine...you have a xp version on your cd. Or you could find the setup.exe file and right click and go into properties and try to run as xp sp2.

yup...I got that too...I'll assume your running Vista on your PC...just call Tech Supt at Esky and they'll e-mail you the .dll file you need. They sent it to me, I put it into the folder they told me to put in it and I re-booted. Runs fine....although I do find the sim a bit cheesey..but hey, not bad for like $20!!!

if you go to xheli.com click on esky flight simultator link on the right, there is a video from u tube for the add. when u tube comes up to play press the menu botton on the bottom right, there is a selection of videos there. second one from left explains how to load it.

I own a Blade CX2 and I know that in the next 6 months or so I will want to upgrade to a Belt CP. But, I do plan on getting a sim before then.
The question is what option would suit me better in learning to fly the Belt CP? (not considering price)
1. Purchasing the $20+12$ shipping ESky flight sim on ebay (or stores) that comes with the 4ch controller.
2. Purchasing a $40-$50 ek2-0406a or ek2-0406 (is there a real difference?) from ebay and then buying the sim cable for another $12 - this is the radio from the Belt CP / HBK2.
I would use it with FMS and maybe purchase Real Flight (it seems there are mixed reviews on FMS)
I'm also tired of busting parts on my Blade CX2 (small rooms with lots of things to crash into) it doesn't help that i'm extremely agreesive on flying around. I was lifting off, hovering, and circling the room on my 3rd charge. On the 5th charge I busted both bottom blades along with the lower head - I clipped the edge of a door opening.
Is there any advantage to having 6 channels in the sim?
Thanks in advance guys - this forum has very very helpful for new pilots!
