I would think that you could use just about any carbon rod that is the right diameter cut to length and just once you get your paddles level and the grub screws locked, put a drop of ca on the bar where it meets the paddle, wicking action will pull the ca into the joint and lock the paddle in place, it should thread itself as youtwist the paddle onto the rod so the ca might not be necessary, but I don't want a paddle flying off in the air and causing you to crash or maybe hurting someone, I'd rather glue it.

do the flybars have threads at the end or are they solely held in by the set screws?
Do you think carbon rod is going to have the stiffness of the original flybar?

I have a HBFP, which I believe has the same flybar demensions. I measured mine to be 17cm... Keep in mind that is the length of JUST the carbon fiber rod without the paddles.

the flybar for the king is threaded at the end, that's why I would use a drop of ca to go along with the set screw just to be safe. I would think that carbon would bejust as stiff if not stiffer than stock, and much less weight, so faster response, less stable of course, but it would break instead of bend in a crash, which could be good or bad

I seriously do wonder how much of a weight loss is possible on the king, i mean if you go all carbon and go with the lightest available parts, even change out to ceramic bearings. I would love to go ceramic but I don't own the bank.
