Thanks for being "Gentle" to these stupid newbie questions and all the help I've read! OK so I just got my replacement Belt-CP today (after the fire) and now I know what the Idle switch if for - Duck tape
to keep it turned off.
This is the stock E-sky 0406A 6 channel transmitter. What is the Gyro.SW switch on the left hand top for and should it be up or down for beginner flight lessons? Above that and in front of that IDLE Switch, is a knob that is labeled HOV.PIT and looks like it is set on the 0 mark. What does this one do? OK last one (for now) on the right side top there is a knob that has PIT.TRIM and that too appears to be set to 0. So what does that one do?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the dumb questions (but if the book would explain things you guys wouldn't have too) //Bill

Gyro SW probably changes the gyro mode from Heading hold to Rate/Normal mode.
HOV.pit is for adjusting your pitch at mid-stick up or down. It's kind of like a trim setting for the middle of your pitch curve. It should be set to center/0 when setting up the heli. Nothings worse than setting up the heli only to find the HOV.PIT knob has been accidently set off of 0.
PIT.TRIM ... not sure.
