Default TX Question

Right now i am flying my belt cp with the stock tx and rx. my next signifiacnt purchase will likley be a new tx/rx setup. as part of a previous post some mentioned that i would be well suited to my a 7ch if i ever plan to fly nitro. there is a possibility that i will get a nitro eventually, so my question is what do i need the 7th channel for?

For what its worth i am thinking about getting a spektum or airtronics 2.4ghz

Governor, and if you don't need one of those; lights, retracts on a scale fuse, whatever.

I use the 7th on my nitro for a governor and for a voltage monitor on all my electrics.

Yep, you dont want less than a 7 channel radio of you want to fly nitro helis and plan on sticking with the hobby it's best to invest in a decent radio system, a good one will last you longer than quite a few helicopters

The voltage monitor can plug into any port, it doesn't really use a ch. You can use a y harness if needed. If your going 7ch. I would get the Futaba or Spectrum in 2.4, not really much more cash and a better chance of selling it later if you want to upgrade or anything.

ya, the voltage monitor doesn't NEED to use it's own channel, just neater that way. I don't like the look of all the wires to begin with and a Y harness just adds to that.
