I am thinking about learning how to fly a heli. I was given a GWS Mini Dragonfly, but i looked at it and i think it's a bit advanced for me. So I was thinking about buying a Blade CX. Does anyone own one? and can they tell me what they think.
Thanks guys

yea i have one just like it. the blade cx is just higher quality but not much more than mine(lama v4)
the lama is a great heli so yours is to. just know this if you buy it you need to fly it in a open area at first. becuase i have had mine for 2 weeks and flown it for the total of a week and and have all ready broke 20 dollars worth of stuff including extra stuff. but im pretty good now and dont break anything but a blade once in a whille and im getting better and better and starting to break them less often. if you buy it buy 2 sets of indisstructable skids because stock skids break really easy. i recommend this over the blade cx because its cheaper and you ppretty much get the same thing. if you dicide on the lama v4 get the easter special its a great deal. and if you want a good simulater go with clearveiw, online

You should invest in a good simulator first. I know that it is a real temptation to just spin up that rotor and start hovering.
I would invest in the realflight simulator and fly the helis until you are really confortable. Then start wth something like the blade 400.
Trust me the cost of the simulator may seem high but it is about the cost of a bad crash on your heli.
Your going to pay one way or the other. I learned on the simulator after trying the blade cp+ making spare parts out of it.
After learning on the sim I bought the b400 and haven't had a crash yet.
Just my opinion.
Videos of me flying my cp and 400 in high wind. Ony been flying 1 month, after learning on sim.

Firebird,
THe cx2 is probly the best trainer on the market. It's parts are cheap and it is extremely easy to fix. Plus its alot of fun. The only draw back is it has 0 wind tollerence. A tiny breeze will ruin your day trust me ive learned this first hand. So if you have the room indoors to learn or the is dead and you wana risk it then the cx-cx2 is for you. Buy sum extra blades cuz the go quick. Make sure your LHS carries the e flight parts cuz thats important too. Dont want to have alot of downtine waiting if you have a good crash...or shoud i say when you have a good crash. lol
