Default First take-off...

How's the first take-off like? The first time you guys start, how was the performance of the heli, did it fly as what you guys expected? Or it goes hay-wire? Keen to know...

Default First take-off...

my first take off on any machine after assembly/rebuild is always done with the training gear. just a hint, although to date, i have never had any problems other than fine tuning things like pitch/throttle curves, track and balance, gyro sens, mixture etc. which is considered normal.

i only use the training gear in case something mechanical was overlooked, or screws loose etc. and have to do emergency (quick)landing from the hover.

Once the chopper is hovering ok, after about 30 seconds i land and remove the training gear, hover again, and begin the fine tuning. The heli is normally ok to go without any further tuning within the first tank (15-20 mins)
