The Cell pro 4 is one at a time. The 10 is suppose to do 2 at a time. Back when I got my Cellpro4's for less thank 49 bucks so I bought 2. The 10 was not out yet. I flew the Guai yesterday and WOW it is a hand full. I had to slow everything down. The headspeed was super high at 3400 or more with 205mm blades so I had to use a straight 85% Idle up. Still adjusting it. I have some 200mm carbon blades on the way by Razor so0 the adjustment will change a bit. This one is so tiny that you have to fly it very close in. It is fun though.

The 10S probably can't charge 2 packs at different times, you'll probably have to start the charge at the same time.  Which is a disadvantage to having one charger instead of two 4S chargers.

Congrats on the maiden Jim!!  I bet it flys fast like a mosquitoe, being so small and agile, it probably zips around like crazy.  I guess after mastering to fly that, you won't have a problem with the big birds. haha.

How are you liking the Zippy cells?  Still impressive like when you first got them?  I just ordered some more Rhino 25C after getting the Flightmax 30C, they're such great packs. I need more!  They were sold out of Flightmax 30C, but they seem about the same.

Yep I like the Zippies so far. I have to order some batteries for the Gaui. I stepped up to 3 cells and use 850mah batteries. Zippies are about 8 bucks LOL. I crashed the guai today. I was unloading the car and dropped it. Bend the maian shaft. I have to order some spare parts. Yes the 3 cells on a 4800KV motor is a hand full, About 4 mins flying with a 10T pinion but wow ton of power and scary headspeed. I may go down to 9T to calm it down. But , like your 2221-6 I am having fun with the power. I am using Carbon 205mm blades instead of 200mm and the cyclic is super touchy. Funny, the pitch is not as touchy as the 450. A cool little helicopter that i can 3D in my yard.

I have some disturbing news to share and have to restrain myself. Some of our thread buddies are receiving nasty personal E-mails from someone on this Forum. I hate a coward and a person who would do that is lower than the @@%%^#&Y I scrap off my shoes. I am notifing that person now that we are looking into the matter through provider security and the authorities. Your commentsare hurtful and reflect a person who is in dire need of professional help. I hope you do not treat your family that way. I will pray for you.

Jim,
The main & tail rotors turn Clockwise.
The non-moving main blade only moves if I hold the moving blade.
Both blades are equaly free (linkage off).

your head is turning in the right direction but i believe the tail should be turning counter-clockwise! this would suggest you have a twist in your belt and the tail blades are arse about face been there made that one!!!

sorry, having looked at your photties it seems your tail blades are on correctly so they should be turning in a counterclockwise direction!!

one thumb, i think i've spotted one ofyour problems!!

the servo arm on your aileron (right side) servo isat 90deg.to the control rod but the washout control arm on the head is not horizontal!!

this needs to be set properly for everything to be equal! also as the great guru made sure i remembered : always set 0 degrees in idle up and then work from there!

as far as the sticking blade business goes, make sure all trims are centred, double check there was no leakage of threadlock from the retaining screw onto the thrust bearing inside the blade grip and double check all ball joints are connected!!

hope this solves it!

Karl, Matty is correct. the swash is not centered. If you look at the top of the wash blockthere is not any room to add pitch. The washout arms amd mixing arms must be parrelell with each other at the same time the +5% pitch with the left stick centered and your pitch curve a 50%. Did you get a pitch gauge? Your power at this point should be about 80-85%. It is hard to see your programming with out a computer hook up to your transmitter. You need to try to find a manual for that radio and adapter to hook up to your PC. I saw a manual recently and do not remimber where. I will look around. In the mean time you do the same. The tail rotor by looking at it from the front should rotate toward the back with a clockwise rotation of the main blades. If the main blades rotate Counter clockwise then you need to reverse 2 wires in your motor. What I would like to see is everything centered while in stunt mode or Idleup and then switch to normal mode and has your pitch curve of -3 +5 +10, STUNT MODE WOULD BE -10 0 +10. At this point learn the switch that will put the transmitter into the mode. Foe now only use stunt mode for set up and then concentrate on setting thre normal mode correctly. Power setting for normal would be 0% 48% 80-85% 90% and 100% if you have 5 point curve. A three point curve would be 0 80 100% for normal mode. The blade grips are fine so don't worry with that anymore.

Later my friend,

Jim

greetings all!

a short update on my predicament:

apparently PADI's QA board didn't have time to hear my case on Thursday so i have to wait another week until it does!! meanwhile i'm still in non-teaching status and so cannot go out on the boats and earn any tips 'cos i'm not even allowed to guide dives!!!!

also the investigator from PADI and their insurance company "Vincenza and Buckley" is down on Sunday. He, my boss tells me, wants to take us both out to dinner Sunday night before he interviews everyone on Monday! it did cross my mind that as PADI was paying we would choose the most expensive place on the island, tee hee!!

on a different note, my heli went back with my brother last w/e and it has been nothing short of perfect heli flying weather here since!!!! 'Sod's Law' working at it's finest!!!

Donica, i have some competion for ownership of your Jessica! Naiya announced to me today that she would have a nice pink heli to fly with me when she was old enough!!!! can ya guess wot her fave colour is?

JD give me the nod as i've sanded down the end that i'll be holding of that 4X2 but added some extra large splinters on t'other end

David, Bug good to hear from you guys, you keep disappearing off the radar. s'pose it's like the old saying: those that can- fly, those that can't sit behind a computer and write about it!! Ha, Ha, Ha!

Jay hope evryting is cris' with the ol' BB and work is good. can't possibly see how you could ever get bored when your job is flying a heli

everyone else i've missed, love ya all, you're like a disjointed family to me, only i get on better with you guys than certain members of me real fam.!!!

thankyou, thankyou, i'll be in the shop all week!!

Greets and hellos to all,
Have you all noticed all the new tools at the top of the new reply panes here on the forum? Big improvement.

I must say it is good to read of all the flying here. Tis the season to flitter for sure. I have been a busy bloke lately with all the work for the railroad. The weather here has, for the most part, been quite nice. Some of the usual spring storms and rains but nothing very severe. Up in Northern Nebraska and along the Nebr./Wyoming border where I have been has been warm and clear. Of course, there has been the ever present prairie winds. I am off for the holiday weekend now and will most definitely be flying some of the little birds. Not much else "heli" to yak about for now. Donica has been flying her little 520 some and simming as usual. She is in New Orleans and is pretty much staying in and around her hotel when not working. There is a lot of danger in that city these days and she isn't doing any gadding about there.

Me mate Matty,
Good to see you back here and it is good to notice that some of your lighthearted humor is returning. I am still laying bets that your situation will work out for the best. You are very correct when you say I can't get tired of my "job". I sometimes get tired from it but not tired of it. I love it all. Talked with Donica on the phone tonight and she is tickled about Naiya's choice of colour and her ambition to have her own heli. Looks like she and her dad are in for some real special times in the future.

On the subject of chargers, I have been using a Venom Pro Charger for a while now and I have come to like it even more than my Cell Pros. Like the rest you must charge all packs at the same time, but it is a real quality unit.

www.venom-group.com

There is a big cookout party at me sisters tomorrow to celebrate the Memorial Day holiday and welcome in summer. I have to be up and about early to run about getting the steaks and a keg of beer so I will go for now and sleep.

Health and happiness to all of you.

Hey Matty, that's too bad you can't guide, but I think it'll all work out in the end. Haha, the funny thing is, I'm not flying much, and all my time is spent behind a computer working. Idon't get on the forum at work though, Iam actually working for once in my life!!hahaha. I wish a work day was only 8 hours, I would fly fly and fly some more!
It is like I'm disappearing isn't it? But it's funny, after a couple weeks of working, it feels like you've only been busy for a couple days, except all the food in your fridge is rotten, and all news is different, songs are the radio have changed, new movies are out, Donica's flying 3D, Matty's not flying, Jim's flying a micro heli 3D, your daughter's flying 3D.... Holy smokes!! Ithink you get the point. haha. It's like sticking your head in the sand and coming out a few years later!

Anyways, I've ordered 2 more Rhino 25C 2250mAh packs, and plan to work normal hours and fly more!! (Fingers crossed) The next month looks really busy, so I don't mind if the batteries come a little late, 4 weeks? This weekend will be SUNNY! But I've got a funeral to go to tomorrow, and I'm working Sunday, ;o(

But ya, the great thing is, the summer's here! Today, the company gave out pamphlets about stress, they listed 25 items, we need to complete 10 of them to get reward points that go towards $$ for our health spending account. They had things like "Talk to your friends", "Ride a bike", "Time alone", "Play with a pet", "Listen to music", we've got a month to complete it all. I'm surprised"Flying RChelis and planes" wasn't on there!! Haha, I think it's a great hobby to just relax, and remove all that stress from the work days. Just drop the throttle back to 70%, and cruise around calmly, nothing like it.

Hope everyone's doing great out there!! Enjoy the weather and relax, shed that stress!

No flying for me this weekend. I had to work several parties and besides it is raining. I haven't even looked at a helicopter. I have some parts coming to fix some helis that are down.> The rainy weather give a great opportunity to go ove all the helis. Dang it the batteries i wanted were not in stock. I was going to order some aditional Zippys and some small ones for the Gaui. Man when you are thinking about buying from Hobbycity you have to jump on them right away. They have a great rep. so far and I hope they strive to keep.

Matty come on up and we will Whup some butts.

Jay , the tuls are great but I still can't spell even with spell svcheckLOL

I have-ta load up for the road,

Flying, we had a great weekend held a Electric Fly-In Sunday and flew helicopters Monday. I've finally got that Vigor dialed in perfect just need to stop burning my finger every time I pull the pressure line plug out after each flight.Great weather justa bit warm. Mike

Hay theah everybody,
Hooowee, shore like the new doodads at the top of the post page. Now I can write in my favorite color.
I'm back to work in N'awrlins after a real nice holiday weekend with my mom. She flew out from Farmerville to spend some time with me. We drove out to Gulfport, Miss. and played around like a coupla rich girls. We stayed at the Casino, did a little gamblin', shoppin, and messin' around on the beach. It was a real good break from the havoc in N'awrlins. I had to giggle a few times at my mom. She's such a good lookin' woman and had to fend off a couple of gents that had hopes of pickin' her up. She's a master at nicely leavin' them sittin' and wonderin' what just happened. Jay'll be glad to know I learned from that this trip.

I got to show off my skills with the little 520 to my mom this time and she's really warming up to the idea of her little girlie playing with helis. She got a kick out of watchin' me flit it around. I let her try the sim for a little bit and she can crash 'em with the best of us. We were both laughin' so hard neither of us could fly very well.

Not much more heli stuff to yak about. I am flyin' mostly in my hotel suite right now. I haven't had a chance to talk with management of the hotel 'bout a space inside and I'm not gaddin' about at all here as this city is just to volatile and I'm not comfy with movin' around much. I'm sure there are some places to go but I haven't found out about them yet. I'll ask around at work tomorrow to see if anyone that lives here has any ideas. Just 1 1/2 more weeks here and as of now it looks like I may get to go to Nashville. The job there doesn't start until the third week of June so I'm going to take some vacation, head for Nebraskaand impose myself on Jay for awhile.

Matty,
I'm thrilled to hear that Naiya wants a pink heli. I'm bettin' she'll blink those big eyes, cuddle up her daddy a little and will get herself a heli. She has real good taste in color too. How are ya at sprayin' paint there Mr? Think ya can turn one pink for her? Sounds like she and her daddy are in for some real quality times comin' up. You can tell her she has my support on this. Maybe you should get her started on the sim real soon.

My tummy just told me it's time for dinner so I'm gonna go for now and order in some Chinese (orange chicken I think). I have a couple of MGDs in the fridge to go with it. So, it's time to pick a pay per view and kick back.

Hope y'all are healthy and doin' somethin' that makes you happy.

See you later,

Donica

Thought maybe some of y'all had moved to the north pole or sumthin'. Mike- you surely can argue with a woman long as you don't mind losin'. Matty- never argue with an idiot. Folks won't be able to tell the difference between the two of ya. And, you're only wrong if you tell a woman what you said when you get back home, so, keep it to yourself. JD- whassa matter Mr.? Can't catch a break lately?

Seriously y'all, I love it when we have fun on here and kid each other. Mattys signature on his posts says it all.

Keep on laughin', jokin' and havin' fun.

Love all y'all,

Who Me?DA-EEEEEeee I never argue with Deb, never. I just smile and nod my head up and down. Now as far as helicopters, I never hide things that I purchased. I place a new order on the dining room table so she can see it straight away. In this case you bow your head in forgiveness and think to yourself, (better to ask for forgiveness than permission)

Hello rotor runners,
Been having a little fun on here lately, eh? It is good to see some lightheartedness. Looks like you have tasted some of why I don't try too hard to get ahead of Donica. She is way to quick and sharp for me. Usually our 'discussions' consitst of mentioning the subject, either agreeing or agreeing to disagree and then I go into the quiet acceptance mode and we move on to better things. Yeah, she has me trained. It is nice though that she sees fit to give me a lot of lattitude most times.

Matty,
It's especially good to see your wit coming up again.

JD,
Your Guai is red? I have been tempted several times to paint one of the birds some kind of brilliant red and use white graphics. Lately I have been looking at the beauty of a paint job on the motorcycle and am considering black with the irridescent blue flames. Something about that combo really pleases my eye.

Took the Copter X out today to flight check all the maintenance I have done on it and Donicas little "Jessica" flies very sweet. The winds came up after that so I packed it in for today. I will be spending the afternoon cleaning the black beauty inside and out. She is a bit scruffy from the railroad work. I am going to wax her up with Turtle Wax Ice this time. I have used that on the car and the bike and what a great product. I asked Ames to start looking for new windscreen panels today. The present ones are getting rather beat up and I noticed a real small leak on the right edge last time I flew in rain. Time to freshen up the seals anyway so might as well put in new panels.

Better get headed for the hangar me friends so I don't find some reason to put off the cleanup.

See you all later.

Yes the Gaui is red, silver and white. It is very easy to see. With my eye sight I need bright colors. Blue, black. OD dark colors will give you Vertigo and it will be hard to tell if it is the right side towards you or left side going away u7nless you are really close in. I noticed that all the PRO's I saw last week had custom painted canopies and all had a day glow orange patch on the nose or tail. You can get the Guai canopies in purple and white, red and white. orange and white, Blue and white and Green and white.

Jay a question for you. Won't the "turtle" wax slow the machines down? LOL You need some RABBIT Wax!!

They are calling it a boring weather forecast on the radio...nothing but blue sky for a week. Thats great for the Pacific North west. Bummer is my flying buddy David is chained to his desk. He ordered his Rhinos from Hobby city a week before I ordered mine, and hasn't had time to pick them up.Thats how busy. Im going to pick mine up right now. Im still sitting on the fence about buying the new charger. Cell pro 4, or cellpro 10S. Lets take a vote.

Ok. off to get the rhinos, gotta break them in. I think this will be a weekend for the fixed wing aswell. Hahaha!, I have to fly the dust off of it.

Hope you all get to look up this weekend.

That is a shame to be tied to a desk. David must be working on a project. At least he is working. Here folks are laid off and the ones still working are having to pick up the load and for the most part with a 10% cut in pay. My wife had to take a 10% cut. Weather wise it has been rainy for about 7 days and as always in the deep south we have the thunderstorms. The little Gaui allows me to fly in my yard so I do a quick pack and dodge the rain. I take if to work and is now my road heli. I can give my CopterX a rest. The Gaui is one hard heli to fly, super touchy. David would LOVE it. THe head dampers are super stiff but it does what it is designed for...3D. Speaking of batteries H-city is still out of the Zippys and Rhinos. Iam using the Align 850m ah20c battery for the Gaui. It turns out to be the best so far of any battery we have tried for the Align250 and Gaui200. Outrage batteries are next. Zippy has a 800mah pack but I am waiting on them to get the 2200mah batteries in stock so I can order them too. I use the EMS express shipping @ $18.00 and it arrives at my door in 3-4 days. A great hobby supplier I have been using lately is www.rcdumbthumbs.com Super fast shipping and good prices.Cellpro for sure!!! my batteries are living proof. Check FMA for the 10c features.
I am off on the road today for another show,

Jim
