Default problem w/ blade

I am a beginner, I flew coaxials for a while, and then bought a blade cp pro. Everything has gone good so far except that I don't think the gyro is working right. In just a hover, it needs the rudder trim all the way to the left to not rotate. If you try to move the tail, it pans wildly back and forth. When you increase the throttle very suddenly, the tail moves waaaaaay out before the gyro can grab it again. Because of this last part I increased the gain, but that made the stiffness worse. So I decreased the gain, but that made worse performance in aggressive climb outs. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong? PS. I ordered a heading hold gyro for it, but now I'm wondering if there's something I could have done, like adjusting that stock gyro??????
Thanks

Even in the manual they have "upgrades" and instructions on how to install a gyro and brushless kit. I have one and added the HH gyro. Once you get the new gyro set up on it, your problems should go away. Mine was doing the same thing (not quite as bad as you describe) and when I put the new gyro on it.... wa-la.. the issues disappeared.

Are you setting the heli down and plugging in the battery without moving the heli then let the lights stop flashing so the gyro can stabilize? You cannot hold the heli and plug in the battery then set it down...moving the heli right after you plug the battery in will not let the gyro stabilize also causing problems...

Hope that helps

Henry

I just took it out for a few more flight and turned the gain way down. I think I'm going to leave it like this until I get the gyro, at least I can turn the tail.

By the way.....I did not do the brushless upgrade. With the gyro, it's a pretty good flyer. I use it as my "learning / front yard beater bird" I am in the process of building a T Rex 500 for serious flying. I dont think that throwing cash at the blade will make it a "Great Heli" It is what it is !
Good to learn on and beat up so that I dont have as much anxiety about flying a more expensive CP heli.
